Kazimir Malevich’s Suprematism

Greater awareness of and appreciation for Geometric Abstraction
What’s your favorite thing about being an abstract artist?
Conceptual thought.
Why did you choose to pursue abstract art and not other styles?
I started out as a photographer, had a working relationship with an abstract artist (mentor), and eventually moved in the direction of abstract art.
What’s one thing people might not know about you and your art journey so far?
I didn’t start with abstract art until later in life.
Did you always know you’d be an artist or how has your art journey progressed?
No, my initial background is in the Sciences, and after being exposed to the medium of photography, I began to explore this artistic avenue. I have evolved from this medium to an abstract artist working digitally.
In your opinion, what’s the most important personal characteristic needed for a career as an artist?
Perception.
What advice would you give up and coming abstract artists?
Expand your concepts with this art movement.
Do you have any podcasts or books that have contributed to your journey as an artist?
Art books about Kazimir Malevich and Suprematism.
What’s your most fulfilling and enjoyable experience as an artist so far?
Exhibiting the “My Dear Malevich” project as a part of the 100 years celebration (1915-2015) of Suprematism at Columbia University.
Where do you see yourself and your art in 5 years?
Working in the same vein.
