How would you describe your artistic style?
Abstract textured minimalist art.
What’s the main inspiration for your art?
My main inspiration is to evoke emotions and create a calming ambience through minimalism. I aim to keep things simple while stirring feelings and bringing a sense of peace to those who experience my art.
What is the biggest goal you try to achieve with your art?
My main goal is to create a strong connection with people through my art. I want each piece to evoke real emotions, inspire, and offer a moment of calm. Ultimately, I hope my art enriches the lives of those who experience it.
What’s your favourite thing about being an abstract artist?
My favorite thing about being an abstract artist is the freedom to express emotions and ideas in a unique and open ended way. Abstract art allows me to communicate without boundaries, letting viewers interpret and connect with my pieces in their own personal and meaningful ways.
Why abstract art and not other styles?
Since the beginning of my artistic journey, I have consistently created abstract art. From the outset, the freedom and expressive nature of abstract art have resonated with me, allowing me to communicate emotions and ideas in a way that feels most authentic and fulfilling.
What’s one thing people might not know about you and your art journey so far?
One thing people might not know about my art journey is that I draw significant inspiration from unconventional sources, such as nature and everyday moments. These seemingly ordinary elements often play a pivotal role in shaping the emotions and stories embedded in my artwork.
Did you always know you’d be an artist or how has your art journey progressed?
I didn’t always envision becoming an artist. My journey has been a gradual progression. Initially exploring various creative paths, I found my true passion in abstract art. The process of self discovery, experimenting with styles, and continuous growth has shaped my identity as an artist over time.
In your opinion, what’s the most important personal characteristic needed to embark on a career as an artist?
In my view, the key personal trait for an artist is resilience. Being able to bounce back from challenges, learn from mistakes, and stay passionate about creating, even when things get tough, is essential. Resilience helps artists navigate uncertainties, grow, and succeed in the dynamic world of art.
What advice would you give up and coming abstract artists?
My advice for up and coming abstract artists would be to embrace experimentation and stay true to your unique voice. Don’t be afraid to explore different techniques, styles, and textures to discover what resonates with you. Stay open to learning, seek inspiration from various sources, and allow your artistic journey to be a process of self-discovery. Most importantly, be patient and persistent, as growth in abstract art often comes from continuous exploration and refining of your artistic expression.
Do you have any favorite podcasts or books that you love and that have contributed to your journey as an artist?
I haven’t had particular books or podcasts that directly influenced my art journey. Instead, my inspiration has primarily come from personal experiences, nature, and the exploration of various artistic techniques. I find that direct engagement with the world around me and experimenting with different approaches contribute significantly to my creative process.
What’s your most fulfilling and enjoyable experience as an artist so far?
My most fulfilling moments as an artist come from the pure joy of experimenting with textures, the calming experience of blending colors, a deep sense of accomplishment when completing a masterpiece, and the happiness that comes from viewers appreciating and admiring my work. These simple yet meaningful experiences define the satisfaction and joy I find in my artistic journey.
Where do you see yourself and your art in 5 years?
In 5 years, I see my art and skills growing. I want to try new things, maybe collaborate with other artists, and build a bigger audience. Hoping to share my art more widely and make a positive impact in the art world.
